Meet the Team
Rabbi Yonason Quinn
As Co-Founder of Olami West, Rabbi Quinn wears many hats atop his kippah — and each one reflects his deep dedication to inspiring the next generation. His engaging Torah classes bring ancient wisdom to life, making Judaism practical, uplifting, and relevant for students navigating school, career, relationships, and identity. Known for his warmth and clarity, he creates an environment where students feel comfortable asking real questions and exploring their spiritual journey with honesty and confidence.
Beyond his teaching, Rabbi Quinn invests countless hours into one-on-one mentorship, guiding students through personal challenges, helping them define their goals, and supporting them as they step into leadership roles of their own. He also leads inspirational Birthright trips, immersive retreats, and transformative Shabbatonim, creating life-changing experiences where students connect deeply with Israel, Jewish values, and each other. These programs often become turning points—moments where participants gain vision, community, and purpose.
Behind the scenes, he continues to wear many hats, overseeing the organization’s financial, administrative, and strategic responsibilities. His leadership ensures that Olami West remains strong, sustainable, and positioned for long-term impact.
In his “spare time,” you’ll find him savoring a good Scotch, getting in a solid workout, or turning a casual conversation into a moment of insight. His students describe him as approachable, genuine, and endlessly devoted — a mentor who truly sees each person and believes in their potential.
With his guidance, Olami West has grown into a vibrant, welcoming home for young Jews across Los Angeles — a place where learning, community, and personal growth come together in a powerful and meaningful way.
